you think thats enough to trade him to a division rival? I'd imagine the price would go up in a divisional trade, no?

Tbh I’m really high on Mazur . He’s my #1 ask from Detroit way before a 1st round pick. Pretty close to nhl ready too

if DET wants cat, is starts with DET 2023 1st+ YOU may be high on a 3rd round pick but the sens staff may see him as a low end prospect.

Ottawa and Arizona why does everyone want to trade cat sometimes I hate how fans of Canadian teams are sometimes. Cat has been good and adjusting to Ottawa but after 1-year Candian fans go " OH MY GOD HES AWFUL" instead of taking time to develop. Truth be told this offseason is going to be quiet for the Sens because of the new ownership the big moves will be off-ice moves. All we need is a depth forward and maybe a goalie

Lol draft position means nothing, his play has been exceptional and likely wouldn't be a part of this deal.

he wants to much money, at least I think he does. I'm fine with giving him a 7x7.5 but no more than Timmy or Brady.

You can’t make Mazur, Detroit 1st , Berggren, etc all untouchable . Gotta give up one good piece. Some late 1st and Zadinas ain’t gonna cut it

Hanas is a no go. That’s the type of guy everyone wants to trade but everyone also has. Nothing exciting about him. We have a ton of 3rd line projected guys

Both Perron and DeBRincat have one year to go before being UFAs. DeBrincat had 10 more points than Perrron last season. Sens fans seem to be an awful high premium on the trade value of Debrincat just because they paid so much to acquire him.

Value wise this trade is probably fine, but I would hate to lose both Perron and Mazur.

Also 9 years younger lmao. And technically still an RFA . And Cat didn’t have Norris to play with all year. I have no issues with Cat .

I get that but Sens can’t get worse next year. Perron would be the stop gap needed to get to a guy like Mazur imo

That was a huge loss losing Norris. Does Cat not have any chemistry with Stutzle?

Stutzle and Tkachuk had crazy chemistry so they didn’t wanna mess with that

I can understand no issue with Cat, but it's finding the cap to sign him to a long term deal is the issue. If he wants 8m (3.25m) than Perron in this case, where does the cap come from?
No long term deal coming.....yeah ineffective he is an upcoming UFA

Oh nice because Matthew Tkachuk and others didn’t sign a sign and trade. If Cat and Dubois get moved, both will be sign and trades. Same as Fiala

I am good with this proposal , you address 3 needs by trading ADB . Goalie who can play 40+ games , I have not seen him play much but have heard good things , numbers are not that great but the same could be said about Sogaard. 2nd line winger who plays a 200 foot game, I have always liked Perron , he can play with and edge and has skill. Plus a highly touted NCAA prospect. I just hope they do something in the off season to trade or extend him , this saga would be a distraction during the season next year. If he opts for 9 x 1 he is as good as gone.
