Alex Killorn isn't wasting his time on a cellar dweller team.

And i doubt Myers would even waive for Chicago.

If the issue is reaching the cap floor, they aren't going to pay for guys like Myers. They're going to take on players who are locked onto LTIR, along with a late round pick.

Arizona acquired Voracek+6th rounder for AHL goalie Jon Gilles, that's 8.25 mil for them.

They also acquired Brian Little and solid spec, Nathan Smith, for a 4th. That's ~5.3 for them.

If teams need to reach the floor, they're not paying for real players. They're taking LTIR dumps from teams.

The Vancouver trade is AWFUL for the Hawks. No chance they do that. If the Hawks don't trade Murphy first, no reason at all to trade for Myers. And AZ (or any other team) isn't paying a 3rd for Blackwell.

Both ARI and CHI aren't paying for players like this. The Myers deal is worse than Zaitsev as its before the bonus is paid meaning hawks are on the hook for the full 6m and retaining on Zaitsev....

Correct. Dumping Zaitsev with retained salary to give cap relief to VAN by taking on Myers and his full contract. VAN really needs cap relief. Hawks might like the size and toughness of Myers and the contract duration is a decent fit for the Hawks rebuild timeline. I love the feedback and comments and made a "Building Block 2" with the feedback. Thanks.
