Backlund wants to win, and the Coyotes have no interest in that. I don't see the AZ trade working out

Jenner is not available, nor does Columbus need two underperforming 30yo 5+ million goalies.

I don't think Markstrom would waive for Columbus and Backlund should be traded to a contender

AZ declines. No reason to move on from a young, defensively responsible, power forward that is good for 20-25 goals a year. Especially if the return is Backlund and a handful of mid to poor picks. I like Backlund but there is no reason to want him on AZ next year.
