Thankfully, adams would never deal one of his best prospects for connor murphy. I never thought Id say that about GMKA but capfriendly sabres fans have broken me.

LOL, my son asked me what did Adams ever do for the Sabres.
I told him that in his first couple of months he let McCabe and Ullmark go for nothing, signed Eakin over Larsson then later in the season traded Montour for a third.
Imagine having the GK with that lost only 7 out of 47 games, a RHD who scored 73 pts and a McCabe instead of Bryson this past season.
So all of you Adams lovers, look at the top two lines the past month Skinner, Thompson, Mittelstadt and Cozens, three of the top four defensemen Dahlin, Jokiharju and Samuelsson all predated Kevyn Adams, but he turned the team around.
Fortunately I would hope Karmanos would stab Adams in the heart before he would make this deal.

@Sabrebluehs yes the future is bright but the present season had as more to do with the previous GM.

I like Murphy as a potential partner for Power, and he has a multiyear deal in place already. I don’t know if the price is worth it, but if the Sabres get a legitimate defensive partner for Owen Power they will be well on their way to being a contender for the division, not just the playoffs. It doesn’t take a genius to see that Toronto, Tampa, and Boston will inevitably all take a step back next season due to salary cap reasons. If Buffalo gets a defense partner for Power, and adds a face-off winning penalty killer to improve the team defense, they will be a legitimate threat. The question of whether they really need to add a veteran goaltender to platoon with Levi or run with Levi and Luukkonen with an improved defense remains to be seen.

It’s playoff fever. No matter how crazy we get on here to fix deficiencies he’ll continue at his own pace. Frustrating but necessary

Probably?
Lol
If a rebuilding Hawks team turned that deal down,
they’d be nuts

Adams will never do that deal though
He’s not gonna overpay for Murphy imo
It would be very surprising if he did something like this

lol. Nah. Rosen isn't who y'all think he is. I don't care where he was drafted. If this is even enough for Murphy, it's just barely.

My saying probably isn't a "shot" at Rosen as a prospect in any way. This is a STRONG offer. I say probably because our new GM Davidson has yet to make a trade where the Hawks receive a high end prospect back. Davidson seems to prefer picks back so he can select his own guy. For all I know, he may want a 1st or two 2nd's for Murphy instead of what's offered here.

Well i suppose that’s fair
The Hawks might just not like Rosen
But in general, these are the kinds of deals the Hawks should definitely be pursuing
