TOR
VGK
  1. Horton, Nathan
  2. 2017 2nd round pick (OTT)
  3. 2018 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
If Horton plays between 30 and 40, then 2018 1st round pick it'll turn into a 2nd round pick. If he plays between 41and 50, then it'll turn into 3rd round pick. If he plays more than 50, so it'll turn into a 4th round pick.

Plus rights to Seth Griffin (RFA).
2.
TOR
  1. 2017 1st round pick (ANA)
DAL
  1. Bozak, Tyler
  2. 2017 5th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Leafs need to trade Bozak to avoid the risk to lose him for nothing in FA. The moment is great, cause Bozak had a very good 16/17 season. On the other hand, Stars needs a top 6 Center pretty much and they acquire one with Bozak. Stars have two 1st round picks this year and the draft is below average. So it's a good and fair price and both teams wins here.
3.
TOR
  1. Coyle, Charlie
  2. 2017 5th round pick (MIN)
MIN
  1. 2017 1st round pick (ANA)
  2. 2018 4th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Wild will be forced to trade Coyle (or another good fw), because of the expansion draft. So, Leafs can replace Bozak with this very good and prolific Center who is 6 years younger than Bozak.

The rosters are frozen, no trades (except Vegas) until after the expansion draft.

So you are giving Vegas a first and second round pick to do the exact same thing with Horton that the leafs would do....LTIR

seems like shotty logic, why would the stars make the bozak trade when you essentially make the same trade for a better player? Wouldn't the stars just make the foyle trade themselves

Vegas is not going to touch the Horton contract, Hortons contract was unsecured. Very few organizations can afford to give Horton his full salary knowing he will never play hockey again.

7M for Oshie is just insane!!! If the Leafs pay that they will get him after his 1 great year and watch how he is average/good for the next 4. You can have Alzner as he is over rated and will get over paid, probably more than 4.5m. This is a decent lineup but will hurt in the next couple of years smile

Indeed, no reason to lose first and second round picks. Horton does not even affect the cap.

TJ Oshie wants 6 years $36 million and Karl Alzner wants 5 years $27.5 million give or take, Good luck being able to afford Marner, Nylander and Matthews.

What a way to destroy a rising team. Poor trades, giving away picks and overpaying UFAs. Looks like Brian Burke is back with the Leafs.
