But why would Boston take Petersen’s salary back? It just seems like that shouldn’t be an option for them.

I would accept that offer as the Los Angeles GM. I'd make the third a 2024 pick, too. (We'll get one from somewhere, or substitute a prospect who's closer to the NHL.)

I will never understand why Bruins AGMs on this site are obsessed with moving assets for as little as they possibly can. Just builds on my theory that 80% of Bruins fans actually hate the team. We are a fanbase are terminally Felger-poisoned
