Moore is top of my list too. Think he'll be gone most likely thought. I'm hoping for Leonard instead now. 18 who knows. Yager, Ritchie, Wood it's hard to say. 2nd round I like Dragicevic if he's still hanging around.

If Moore is gone at 9, and Smith, and no big fallers...Pelikka 100% and get Barlow or Yager or Ritchie hopefully at 18. Maybe spend one of those 2nds to move up from 18. With the 2nds, Willander and Dower Nilsson, though I suspect both could be gone by then.

One thing I think this days able the draft, other than everyone's own opinions, is that this has to be one of the hardest drafts to predict. All of those players would be really good picks and really for the first round picks any of those players would be great picks. The second round same thing, so many good players that would be really nice adds.

I don't like either of the defenseman enough to want to take them at 9 but if the 3 or 4 forwards I really want are gone I guess we could do worse.

Yeah it's a lot of different opinions on a bunch of guys. Guys like Wood, Cristall, Danielson, Yager are all over the place in a lot of mocks

So here's where this draft can get weird. I really don't see 1 and 2 changing, no matter what anyone says.

After that, the top 5 seems pretty set right? Maybe not. Carlson is not a center. He played it for country, but never club. He is a LW, huge upside, but also someone I could see as a potential bust candidate. Michkov could fall too for being Russian and unavailable for a few years. I see Smith at 5, but I'd rather have Moore. Smith is an amazing playmaker, but I can see questioning if his elite playmaker translates to the NHL. Moore is fast and a good skater, and his shot is pretty good too, but he can have early Larkin syndrome of just going fast, for awhile. Pelikka is absolutely a potential elite 2 way defenseman, but he might not reach that potential (he is already close to NHL ready from all I have seen (a lot) . I've seen little of Benson but I trust the consensus that he is an elite wing. Reinbacher isn't my first choice, but man, he can become a real nice 2nd pair.

So many possibilities...

I like Smith he won't fall to 9th though.

Holland couldn't let falling player pass him ******* Buffoon

I like Smith too, but he is a straight up playmaker center. His shot is a concern, and he doesn't skate as well as Moore. Smith just reminds me of Rasmussen, in that he looks great playing against kids, but I just don't know if he can adapt to adults. Smith has the higher projected ceiling, and Moore really isn't much better than Larkin, but I'd take Moore in today's NHL.

They said the same thing about Kane's skating. When you have a chance compare Kane's 2005-06 season to Smith's 2022-23 season. Plus Smith is a righty.

Something about trading Hronek for 18 and then using a top 10 to replace him really unsettles me. I know it's not really like a 1 for 1 comparison but I don't like the feel of it. Yeah I think 1-5 is set but michkov could complicate things. After that the next 5 guys could be so many guys.

Lots of great takes. No matter what the Wings are going to get two solid prospects at one of 1,2,9,10,11 and 18.

Still gotta put 1,2 in there even though I know it ain’t happening. Let’s just hope NYI don’t make the ECF.

It’s also nice having a list of 5-10 players that Detroit could take that many would be on board with. I have a feeling of the 5 picks, there will be some movement. The second Wing pick will occur after a trade is my early prediction.
