Holl is so good on the PK though, blocks a tonne of shots and does well preventing zone entries, he's been effective. Gio has had some tough moments but some good ones as well. Brodie and McCabe are great but they have made some super bad plays as well. Holl though has been solid.

Right now I would sit Bunting until someone does something to take themselves out of the lineup. And no one has done that.

I wouldn't play him until an injury happens or someone messes up bad enough to warrant taking them out of the lineup.

I don’t believe Keefe will be taken in by recency bias as much as some of the fan base has been. It’s honestly shocking fans would want Bunting and his 14G 36P at 5v5 out of the lineup especially over someone like Lafferty.

I will be very surprised if he is not in lineup, guess we will see

I think it's a safe bet that Tampa will be able to take liberties and when Bunting embellishes it at all he'll get the penalty. And Tampa is going to go after him, big time. He's going to have to fight someone. And if he doesn't, he's going to get badgered and the refs will let them do it.

Or you sit him for game 5. It will definitely send a message to Bunting that he can't afford to do this again in anyway. He just can't hurt the team. He learns the lesson and finds that fine line, great. Hopefully it happens to start the next round. Save him from having to answer the bell with Perry or Maroon, or whoever. Sit him for 1 game. Win and we reset for round 2. Lose and maybe you put him in for game 6 in hopes of getting an offensive boost and maybe he learns his lesson.

In any case, sitting him makes too much sense. This lineup won 3 straight, until some one takes themselves out, just keep it rolling.

Ideally we sit Lafferty and playing Bunting on the third line.

I think Lafferty is underrated. He's like Engvall but is physical and less skilled. But same in the sense that nothing really happens when he's on the ice. I am fine with that with how the big guys up front are playing.

Seriously though, do you honestly think Bunting is going to handle getting run constantly and likely have to fight and then getting called for a dive when someone tries to take his head off? That's a distinct possibility. They are going to make him pay for Cernak.

He used to in the late '80s and throughout the '90s. I loved the play by play back then. I don't know what Sportsnet thinks when they come up with play by play announcers these days.

Yep this is how I feel about Bunting. It's a lose-lose situation with him in this series just because Tampa is just going to run him and he's not getting anything from the refs... moreover, he'll take 2 minute embellishment penalties instead.

If the Leafs are fortunate enough to get out of this round, start fresh with Bunting in round 2 but with a much shorter leash. One peep out of him and he's benched for the rest of the game.
