Canucks can probably offload Myers for a 3rd or 4th to a bottom feeding team. If they can't they'll just keep him. Less than zero chance they're dumping value for cap space.

Understandable, if we took Pearson too would they do a 2nd?

I don't think Pearson is going to play next season due to injury. He's a non option for a trade right now until it becomes more clear if he will play or not. If Pearson was healthy, I don't think we would trade a 2nd to dump both those guys, but we did trade a 2nd to get rid of Dickinson, so Im not sure. Also we likely wouldn't need to offload both Pearson and Myers, just one of them for cap space if necessary. You could probably get Myers and a 3rd, but Id way rather just keep Trouba.

Yeah I agree. Just making a post leaning toward recouping lost assets.

I don't know about the other Detroit fans but I'd take Trouba for that and it gives the Rangers $8M in cap space.

The last thing the Rangers need is to recoup assets. Laf, Chytil and Kaako have been absolutely suppressed on the third line because they don't have enough top 6 spots. Rags should be blowing away their picks for rentals for the next 2 years at least.

No way the Canucks make that trade, Myers will be easy to move after his bonus is paid and with the way Hoglander is playing in the AHL playoffs there's no way VAN moves him unless we get a quality piece back. Tell you what, we'll throw in 11th overall and u give us Laf.

I don’t see the Canes paying for Goodrow. We don’t have a complex about playing against Wilson

Canes have no desire to help the Rangers with their cap. Detroit might be the only team with cap and would he be and he would waive too. Gee if I'm Yzerman, don't give the Rangers anything, maybe even take a sweetener so the Rangers get cap. PS...I don't think Trouba would waive, even if the Rangers asked him to.

Taking on dumps now lol. Simply by shedding a NMC and 2 of our core defensive leaders.

Now since Mastrosimone won't sign in Detroit and considering he's from East Islip, NY I'd add him in to a Trouba trade free of charge.

Why isn’t he signing?

Not sure maybe because Detroit is bad or he wants to be closer to home. One of the perks of playing 4yrs of college hockey. On August 15th he's free to sign where ever ha wants.

Are there rumors he’s going to a team close to home?
