Description
I personally would love to see NJ move Mercer to center now that he has a couple seasons under his belt. Then our spine would be absolutely stacked. Time to say byebye too Wood, Blackwood, Graves, Tatar among others. Holtz HAS to make the jump or else it's time to move in. Bratt needs to sign long term also or else time to move him also. Can't wait to see full seasons of Luke and Simon either!

  1. Stillman, Chase
  2. 2024 5th round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
He has been forced out of Buffalo. Every reporter I hear (I live in WNY) has said that he's 100% getting moved this summer. Stillman likely would be in Roc next year and would add some grit to that organization. NJ gets a PP sniper in return.

If Holtz is going to succeed, he needs to be the shooter, not split pucks with another one.

Not sure Olofsson is a good fit for NJ. I’d rather bring back Tatar or play Rango over him. Also, you forgot McLeod

Olofsson is only good on the Powerplay. Sabres needs are on defense.. we have 3 good winger/centers in the AHL that wont have a spot on the team next year. A Defensive prospect would work.

I don’t think he bumps anyone off PP1…and has been fairly average at even-strength. Seems like a waste of his talents. Send him to a team starving for PP help.

Oloffson had 21 goals and 7 assists at even strength this past year to go along with 5 goals and 7 assists on the PP. Also it’s not like Olofsson is playing top six minutes in Buffalo. The reality is that he’s not a bad player, but he is a victim of circumstance.

I am convinced that the Islanders don’t want to improve their power play, but if they did he would make sense lol.

PP1 is now

Hughes - Palat - Bratt
Hischier
Hamilton

PP2

Mercer - Haula - Tatar
Meier
Severson

If we added Olofsson, it would be for Tatar for PP2, who plays more of a roaming role (similar to Hughes). Meier wants to move to that right dot, and probably starts there next year. We also have Holtz and Foote, who could be in for PP time too next year.

If we add someone for PP, it should be someone who can play net front.

He’s not a victim of circumstance, he’s just bad when he’s not in the act of shooting. He’s terrible in his own end, can’t make good passes, doesn’t really protect the puck well and seldom adds value in the neutral zone. Scored a bunch early in the year, went ice cold for 30 games then scored a bunch of garbage time goals. He’s Swedish Hoffman, sans the crazy ass wife

Exactly. This pp specialist thing needs to go away.
