Devils decline. Wheeler's cap hit is too prohibitive.

Maybe Nino at deadline. Don’t think Wheeler would be high on NJD list.

You got the value right for Pld but it will be a 2024 first since it will be a Tdl deal

The Pens trade would need an extension before the trade is accepted

How could you possibly think that boston trade is reasonable?

The Avs simply will not consider a trade of major assets for a pending UFA - they cannot afford to part with what little they have for rentals

Easy no for the Avs. They won't give up that first for a guy who is gone in a year.

That’s a no from Boston.

Would start with this years 1st and then add to that, Zhilkin maybe.

If they move Sway…which is highly unlikely

I don't mind paying that for PLD but what is his next deal supposed to look like?

What do you think they’ll get? I agree he’s been impressive but it’s a short sample size and he has come nowhere close to showing he can play 55-65 games and be a true #1. I wouldn’t give up a 1st unless I’m a true contender without a goalie and the pick would be around 30

Think it’s pretty well known by now he’s going to Montreal once he’s a ufa. That’s all the media in mtl talks about is how he wants to come home. So it would be a one year rental I guess in the hopes of winning another cup? I mean big trade deadline pieces usually start with a 1st you’d just have him all year. And who knows maybe he’ll want to stick around once he’s on a team that wins

You’d be giving up a 1st at the deadline if you wanted to make a big deal. Least this way you have the player all season. But I understand your reasoning, just think when your a true contender like the avs are atm the first would be in play for the right player

For the right player I'd agree. Dubois isn't it. Especially when they know they have pretty much zero chance of re-signing him.

He’s a top ten (at worst) goalie in the league at 24. They’re not moving him. Blow their socks off with an offer and maybe, but this is pathetically short on value and fit

He still needs to be signed to play this coming season, so, what do you think his next deal look like?

Lmao top 10? Ullmark had a better season so your telling me you think you have 2 of the top 10 goalies? I haven’t started thinking of the goalies but that statement sounds obsurd. The guys barely had any nhl games to his career and hasn’t proven he can play 55-65 games a season yet

That being said I would try to keep both goalies but with the bruins having no money left they’ll have loads of problems to deal with and I can’t see them keeping both. Husso got 4.75 per season and only played 40 games prior season with barely any nhl experience so I can’t see how swayman gets signed to anything under 3

Anyways goodluck

Ya he does but if he really wants to be a ufa or go to mtl he’ll force them to sign his 1 year qualifier. You mean his 1 year contract? Or in free agency? I wouldn’t go too nuts cause I’m not too big a Fan but he plays center which is in demand. Someone will give him 8x7 at least
