No. Perron is a leader on the Red Wings. We'll gladly take Trouba for a 2nd and a 3rd. Or Zadina and a 2nd.

We should take this if it's on the table.

Moving Perron would be a bad move for them. 20+ goals and leadership for 4.75 is a great deal.

Perron has a lot of value to the Wings as a guy who can be a locker room presence and score 20 or so goals. I'd be surprised to see him traded before the deadline (assuming we don't just re-sign him)

Trouba would certainly not reject being traded to his hometown team that will be hopefully be contenders during his (latter) contract year.

Gudas…why? That’s a hard pass, let’s replace Trouba with a more inferior version.

There is no connection with possibly moving Trouba out and bringing in Gudas. The movement of Trouba frees up much needed cap space. With the possible moving up of Schneider opens a spot for an in your face 3D. I chose Detroit as a likely spot for Trouba because of his Michigan connections and his best buddy plays there.

If Perron was such a great locker room presence, why has he bounce around the league as much as he has without getting long term extensions?
