Calgary trade

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Draft pick portion of this according to Atlantic value chart is a wash
#17OA (4.5 value) = #35OA (2.4) + #52 OA (1.5) + #89 OA (.6) = 4.5 value
Hawks have a lot of quantity in picks with a prospect pool that is quickly getting better. Flames have a fairly thin prospect pool and might have interest in the quantity this offers.

TRad combo of 750K cap and 20G/40P production are the type of deal cap strapped contenders pay a first for.

Zary is someone close to NHL ready and could easily be as productive as TRad with longer cost control but have to give to get and TRad likely is a higher floor this season at the NHL level where Zary has yet to skate an NHL shift much less a given to be productive.

I assume that one of Zadorov or Tanev must go to make cap work. While not pure cap dumps in that they are actual NHL players, they probably each have a degree of negative value for at least a part of their cap hits....and will be more cap dump from the Hawk perspective.
Zadorov for Jones give the Flames a NHL level LHD, but for a decent amount less in cap (qualify him based on 1.35 cap).

For the sake of this trade, Tanev or Zaorov don't realy change much for me as both are just taking a guy/cap until the TDL and hoping to flip for another pick.

Pelletier can replace Zary and probably be a wash for this.

Ian Mitchell can replace Caleb Jones if you prefer a cheap bottom of the roster RFA RHD to LHD (and I suppose that depends on whether you prefer moving Zadorov or Tanev.

Flame away (pun intended) with criticism and tweaks.

Thats brutal for Calgary. Why would they pay to move effective positive value players?

Hawks say no. Zadorov experiment went terrible few years ago. Raddysh is a good top 6 player

Kyle values skating above almost every other on ice skill. Zadorov is a pylon. His skating is bad. Zary's skating was his biggest negative in his draft year. What little I've seen since he was drafted seems to indicate his skating is still a weakness in his game. Neither guy fits Kyle's model for what he wants.

Pelletier instead of Zary more interesting? Zadorov is a 5 month cap dump/rental to facilitate making the rest happen and most certainly not a target of any sort. Just a cap hit for a team that currently can't fill out a roster and the need to move cap as the incentive to move a recent 1st for TRad and move that 1st (even though the value chart says it is a wash...think most slightly over value the 1st and need a push)

Probably don't matter as this don't seem to well recieved by the Flames faithful.

Very few people on this site get how good TRad really is.
