thats going to be atleast a top 5 pick you're giving away for an average player.

Edmonton could totally match the price but the idea of a potential top 3 pick is definitely something they would be interested in

Would probably be the one time the Sharks get draft lottery luck too.

Why on earth would San Jose move that pick with no protection? I’m sure they have learned after giving Stutzle to Ottawa

I'm sorry, in what realm of the multiverse is Bouchard "an average player"? How many 6-3 23 yo RDs with consecutive 40 point seasons and damn near a career PPG in the playoffs do you think are running around Earth?

in what world is getting a point every 2 games when you are passing the puck to the top two scorers in the league above average? He's an average skater and his handle isn't really above average. He has a big shot but other than that he doesn't do anything to make him more than a top 4. 15 of his 17 points this playoffs came on the powerplay which would leave us to believe he is almost invisible when it's 5v5

Heh. Yeah, you're right. Most of his 17 points in 12 playoff games at age 23 came on the PP. You busted him. And I mean, it's not like special teams are important in the playoffs anyway. Average! tears of joy

Apparently not important enough though

Setting aside that there's 20 players on that Oilers team, you've moved the goalposts clear to another field now. The issue is Bouchard being labeled "an average player", which just makes me think you don't know what average means. But that's cool. Have a good one.

The Ducks will do everyone a favor and decline to give SJ back their 3rd so the offer sheet can't happen. We don't want Simek or his cap hit, nor do we want to push picks further out into 2025.
