Trades
1.
CBJ
  1. Fabbro, Dante
Additional Details:
Jackets need a more defense-minded RHD.
NSH
  1. Del Bel Belluz, Luca
  2. Robinson, Eric
Additional Details:
Nashville has a ton of RHD but needs help down the middle. Robinson is very much a Trotz-style player. Would be fine throwing in a mid-round pick/pick swap as a sweetener if needed
2.
CBJ
  1. Turcotte, Alex
Additional Details:
Want as many dart throws at C as possible
LAK
  1. Bean, Jake
Additional Details:
LA badly needs LHD
3.
CBJ
  1. Mantha, Anthony
  2. 2024 1st round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Free first, plus Mantha could be flipped at the deadline w/some retention if he shows any signs of life.

1st is top 10 protected
WSH
  1. Danforth, Justin
Additional Details:
Caps need cheap forward depth as they still look to compete before Ovi retires. Danforth is good on the PK too.
4.
CBJ
  1. Pinto, Shane [RFA Rights]
  2. 2025 3rd round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Jackets need all the C's they can get; at worst Pinto should be a 3C. Pick swap because C is the most valuable position.
OTT
  1. Boqvist, Adam
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Sens' C depth will be better once Norris comes back, plus they only have 1 remotely competent RHD and no picks in rounds 1-3 of this draft.
5.
CBJ
  1. Grzelcyk, Matt
  2. Merkulov, Georgi
  3. 2025 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Unlike Berni, Grzelcyk can actually score. Also, he can be flipped at the deadline for additional assets, possibly with retention.

Merkulov had an excellent rookie season in the AHL and is also used to Columbus since he's an OSU alum.
BOS
  1. Berni, Tim
Additional Details:
$3-ish million in cap relief, plus Berni actually put up decent possession numbers on an awful team last year
6.
CBJ
  1. Yamamoto, Kailer
  2. 2024 5th round pick (EDM)
  3. 2025 4th round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Free picks, plus Yamamoto can either be flipped at the deadline with retention or (less likely) kept on if he returns to form
EDM
  1. Bemström, Emil
Additional Details:
Oil need cheap forward depth. Bemstrom is a pariah in Columbus because he partially ruined the tank, but he's a good possession forward who's good for 25-30 pts/season
7.
CBJ
  1. Vejmelka, Karel
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Jackets need a proven goalie if Elvis doesn't return to form. Pick is included because Vejmelka only has 2 years before becoming a UFA, one less than Peeke and several less than Tarasov.
ARI
  1. Peeke, Andrew
  2. Tarasov, Daniil
Additional Details:
Coyotes badly need defensemen and would very rarely turn down a prospect of Tarasov's quality at any position. They have 4 3rd's in this draft, so likely wouldn't mind giving one of them up.

Caps hard pass. They aren't paying to move Mantha and if they do it will be for like a 3rd or later. They'll keep him to see if the new coach uses him properly.

Yea I had to double back on that one, that’s a hard pass from WSH paying a first to move Mantha isn’t gonna happen

I wouldn't trade the 3rd for Berni, let alone Grzelcyk and Merkulov. Doesn't work at all for the Bruins.

@BuffaloBuckeye101 all your trades are leaning towards CBJ winning every one, values are off here I’d say

LA needs a #2LhD badly. Does Jake Bean fit that description? He's had a pretty undistinguished career so far.

6 million in cap space is absolutely worth a 1st, not a 3rd, but I could definitely see why the Caps would rather give Mantha another shot with whoever their new coach is.

He is more of a #3 LHD, not a 2. But they don't have a #3 right now either.

Have you seen your cap situation? It's brutal. Take Berni out and I'd want either the 3rd or Merkulov for Grzelcyk's cap hit.

Bruins say no very quickly, you're vastly over estimating how hard it'll be for the bruins to clear cap space.

Grzelcyk is a good player, he isn't a cap dump. The Bruins have several options to clear cap and it's not Columbus, someone else will do it. Lightning needed to clear cap every year since 2020 and they've been able to without paying crazy prices. At least Reilly/Forbort + 3rd rounder makes more sense than Grzelcyk. Merkulov won't be moved.

Very easy pass for Ottawa. A quality 3C is FAR more important than a 3rd pairing RD. wouldn't want Boqvist there anyway, he's terrible defensively. Brannstrom is a good DFD, but I'd still want someone reliable next to him.

0% chance the caps pay a 1st to dump Mantha. Mantha sucks for his contract but a 1st is a joke
