Canucks pass, it's not worth it to dump Myers to fall back that far

Isles will give you the 2024 or 2025 2nd, but not this years pick imo. They don’t have their first or third rn, and they need to acquire young talent.

Hard to see either team being interested in that VAN trade, but the other two seem pretty close to what it will cost to dump those guys.

2024 would be fine. 2025 probably is farther out than we'd like. We have no issue taking Bailey for a year though.

I'm curious how you envision the Canucks becoming cap compliant without moving Myers or Garland or Boeser. And, to be clear, this is moving back 8 spots and picking up an extra 3rd to dump both Garland and Myers.

Canucks decline. Pick 11 is not being moved, especially not to dump Myers.

Garland isn't a cap dump, it won't take more than a mid round pick to dump Myers after his signing bonus is paid out, we will be cap complaint with the likelyhood of Pearson and Poolman never playing again.

I’m betting Lou wants to trade the 2025 pick tbh because he already traded one of his trade chips for next year in the Engvall deal, but I don’t foresee it being an issue cause bailey’s actual salary is so low.

Am I crazy, or is the Vancouver offer essentially either….

    1. 1st to dump Myers (even though salary is only $1m) then getting Garland for a 1st and 3rd
    2. Swapping 1sts, and getting the 3rd to drop 8 spots, and then “dumping” Garland and Myers for free

Seems like a good deal for Vancouver, in the sense that they instantly shed $11m in cap, while still picking in the top 20, and adding a 3rd round pick. I guess it all depends who is sitting there at 11.

So the Canuck’s give up the best player in the trade, and the higher pick? Garland is a good player. Myers only has 1 year left on his contract.

Canucks fans are delusional if you don’t take that trade. You’re giving freeing up 11 million dollars in cap space to move back 8 spots. Your defense is terrible and so is your cap space. If you wanna stay mediocre for another decade than decline the trade.

Lol Tyler Myers expires in 1 year. The canucks don’t need 1 year of cap space that desperately. Garland is also a very good player. Not using him as a cap dump. You’re gullible if you believe every media story. What a ridiculous take. Why don’t the Canucks trade Demko and Pettersson as well then. Frees up a ton of cap space!

No. It’s sends the message through. Garland is a good player. Not a cap dump. Myers is a 1 year cap dump. Not worth trading down 8 spots…. The only thing that is WIILLLLDDD is saying the Canucks HAVE to trade a bunch of players

You’re completely wrong. You’re gonna miss the playoffs once again. Your d core needs to be retooled and it starts with Myers. Dump him then sign severson in FA. But I don’t think you understand that. Your winning window is closing and I think it’s hilarious how insane you canucks fans are.

So basically you think canucks future sucks, yet you are making it worse by trading down and losing a good player…. Terrible logic. How is our winning window closing when it hasn’t even opened? Canucks have one of the youngest teams in the league

Jt Miller is a cancer to your team. Petterson is gonna demand a crazy pay raise. Boeser and Garland are both over paid and will get traded. Demko is overrated. I guess I'm wrong, you have a terrible future and present and will be stuck in medicracy.
