Boqvist would be redundant goods on the Canes considering Burns, Pesce, and Chatfield are already there are way more bang for your money

Put it this way, I’d give up Miller and Laf and maybe a 1st for Necas.

Might as well switch Bellabuz for Sillinger and try to go all the way

For a team looking to rebuild that package may be enticing. Not the Canes though

I'd say your best outcome with that package is a guy along the lines of Chytil maybe. Not Chytil himself cause I don't see any way NYR move him, but he's the type of player that comes to mind.

I would say the list of top 6 centers that are probably available are : JT Miller, Schmaltz, Scheifle, Kuznetsov and Hayes.
I could also see the following as maybe available: Reinhart, Lindholm, Duchene, Middlestat, Backlund,

Some debate as to which of these are true Centers or would be an upgrade over Jenner/Roslovic/Johnson/Laine.
Also some debate as to how much each is worth.

I think I am inclined to go for either Schmaltz, Kuznetsov or Hayes in a trade and potentailly try to snag Lindholm as a free-agent next year if he opts not to re-sign in Calgary.

First of all, Necas hasn't played C in 4 years

Second, this is just not going to do it for the Canes. You're not going to be getting parts of their core for futures. They're not rebuilding. It would need Necas to price himself out in a years time.

and Im glad you're not the rangers GM. Necas is several years older than Laf and didnt "break out" until this year.
This year he has 45 even strength points. Laf is at what 36?

As for that deal, I'd move Trocheck for that? Established top 6, 2 way responsible and put up 60+ points.

I was hoping the Jackets could sign Trocheck before he signed with the Rangers. He has a full NMC unti 25/26 and I don't see him waiving for Columbus.

No shot of getting Necas for a subpar deal. Plus I don’t care for Miller’s game at all. He’s way too soft that it’s depressing. We don’t have the time to wait for Laf to develop in the current window especially with Panarin and Kreider not going anywhere on the left side. Plus with Othmann, Cuylle, Sykora and Berard I’m fine with losing Laf for a major upgrade on the right side which is thin at both the nhl and prospect level.
