It would be interesting to see if Pittsburgh would take that. I guess it would depend on how high they value that first.

Pens pass hard. This is what I love about capfriendly. If a bunch nimrods think Rutta is some huge cap dump then it must be true!

The hard data shows the Pens have a better defense with him the lineup. He's been very solid. Is he overpaid? For the Pens, yes. He's a luxury for us that we shouldn't be spending money on, but he's a good slightly overpaid good player. Really bad proposal. If we're sending you the 16th overall, you better be sending some serious stuff back.

Also, that WPG trade is a terrible trade for BUF. Krebs is going to be a solid player and you have Levi coming up. That's a huge price to pay for one year of Hellebyuck. I get you probably think you'd extend him, but why? Levi is going to be a stud. Patience.

That may be enough to get Winnipeg to wait until 24 for the 1st.

WPG says yes, but sure would prefer it to be Buffalo's 1st round pick this year, because their 1st round pick next year will be worse, because they are going to make the playoffs, etc...

It's not that terrible for BUF. Krebs will be solid, so he'll probably prefer a larger role than being buried behind Tage and Cozens. Levi is a stud, so I'd imagine a Helle/Levi tandem would be doubly scary. With Buffalo being closer to home than Winnipeg (and in the States), I can see Helle extending for a moderate raise, especially since BUF appears to only be trending upwards.

I don't think they're ready to move Krebs. I don't see him as a core piece, but he might be if he's willing to work the bottom six for a few years. If not, then I could see him being traded, but not before next summer.

It's just completely unnecessary. BUF is at the beginning of their ascension. This is a premature use of top assets.

That garbage doesn't get you the 14th overall pick.

And that offer for Connor Hellebuyck is easily blown away.
