WPG says yes. MTL would probably say no... betting they would.

No other team is touching PLD, so MTL is going to get him for nothing.

what. So a top 10 to top 5 pick plus a very dominant NCAA player plus a young, cheap goalie coming off of an underrated season plus a 22yo top 6C top 3 pick breakout? Yeah, that's enough for an RFA top 6 C and an overrated LHD's rfa rights. This is a no from every and any angle from Hughes.

You somehow accidentally added like 4 pieces Montreal considers untouchable to your trade, that must be embarrassing for you.

Montreal counters with our 2nd rounder this year and Jordan Harris, or we'll offer sheet PLD for 4 mil x 1 year

Every Jet fan who knows anything knows this is probably what is going to happen. No team will touch PLD right now. Chevy needs to find a trading partner for PLD asap who is good with him for only 1 year. PLD has completely bleeped the Jets which is not cool and the NHL really should do something about it, but they won't.

MTL offer sheets PLD for nothing and forces the Jets to match. So the Jets get a top 6 forward for a low price for 1 year, but that player has no desire to play for the Jets and may even sit out or do whatever.

Again, this is NOT cool of any professional athlete, but it is what it is.

Once again, MTL gets the better of WPG.

I truly feel bad for Jets fans for the whole PLD scenario, well all Jets fans with the exception of the one saying this is still not enough and wants an unprotected 1st lol

Why I moved away from WPG many years ago. My heart still hopes for WPG, but my intellect moved on years ago to follow other teams. Just because I was born in WPG doesn't mean I have to die there or cheer for a team that is dying a slow and painful death... again. NO LOL. frown

Dach alone would be a no-go. So imagine adding a Top-10 Hobey-Baker finalist, what's shaping up to be MTL's starter next season, and a 1st round pick on top of it.
Easiest NO from MTL.
