Idk I like that trade a lot. Frees up 5 mil in space and we get a future #1D in Brandt Clarke. Kempe was such a good goal scorer this year

Kings easily decline. 2 years of Marner doesn't get you Kempe and Clarke lol

CHI got a 2nd and 4th to eat one year of Zaitsev whose contract is almost identical to Arvidsson.

Kopitar just had one of the best seasons of his career. He's got another 2-3 years. If Kings want to go all out for a 1C, theyll just sign McDavid when he hits the market. We can't afford Matthews right now and if we want him, we'll sign him in free agency and not trade Kempe and Clarke. Leafs fans are delusional.

Even if Marner were willing to sign an extension with LA, I doubt LA moves Clarke anytime soon. Their plans for him seem to be in the realm of becoming their future number one defenseman.
