@aedoran do you think Raymond could be available and if so what would you want?

This team is much more physical and harder to play against. I think they will generate way more offense five on five because of the turnovers we will create on the forecheck. Defensively we won't get pushed around and will knock players off the puck. The Red Wings aren't a good team as is anyways but are soft on top of it. They won games by having a good PK and good goaltending by Husso. They were also defensively structured. But they were one of the softest teams in the league. So the changes I made got rid of soft players that are liabilities defensively. And again this team will actually create more offense because of a great forecheck. And we will score more dirty goals and be a good cycling team being good on the boards. I also got a good tandem goalie. I think this team is designed for the playoffs.

Also last year the Red Wings were never the same team when Rasmussen got hurt and was out of the lineup. Yakov Trenin gives you another player like that but even better in my opinion. I think he's extremely underrated as he has size and plays a physical game but also has great hands and scoring ability. Foligno brings another big body that finishes his checks and plays with an edge. Blake Coleman is a way better all around hockey player than Lucas Raymond so that's a win.

As long as you had fun I guess that’s the point of the website. Definitely the opposite direction the Wings will go, but to each their own.

They won't get to the playoffs, they won't generate any offense.

Hmmm maybe I could use the 7 million to sign someone like Tarasenko or trade for someone.

Don't trade the young guys who are growing, Raymond for Coleman, that's bananas, Berggren for trenin it makes no sense.

He's already got a 57 point season... and even in a struggle filled sophomore year he still put up over 40 points

Trading him for anything less than an absolute stud player is such a terrible idea.

You say this team will generate offense, but from where? Raymond, Kubalik, Berggren, and Perron were 4 of the 5 guys who could score a goal last season. You're basically setting the team to "here's a million guys who can get the puck" which is all well and good. But none of them can score worth a damn other than Larkin on this roster

None of these trades are worthwhile, we would be fighting for a top 5 pick next year rather than a playoff spot with this roster.

Lucas Raymond is awful, he just is and Coleman would get that many points playing with Larkin and probably more and he's not soft. Yakov Trenin could easily put up 20 goals playing in the top six and when given more ice time. None of those players you mentioned are that good and are all soft players. Perron is old and can't skate.

5 years to what score 30 pts season like Coleman, he's already more productive and if you're moving him it's not for a checking middle 6 winget

Not trolling just trading a player I don't like and bringing in one I do. It's really that simple. Stop calling people trolls because you disagree with them on a player. Lucas Raymond had two goal that last thirty games and is a soft player. Blake Coleman isn't soft and plays a much better all around game. Lucas Raymond plays with Larkin and should have been sent down to the AHL he was so bad. That's a fact.

It's not just about putting up points. Lucas Raymond is the softest player in the league and is a defensive liability. Anyone who thinks Lucas Raymond is actually a better all around player than Blake Coleman is dreaming. Lucas Raymond is bad for the Red Wings.

Glad you're having fun. The ONLY part i like is the gudas signing. Would prefer to offer a little bit less money for him. If you are to get rid of Raymond, wouldn't you go for someone who is an all around player that is good? Some elite talent. Coleman is the last piece type of player you add at the deadline when you are looking to contend. We are at least 5 years from that.

I like Coleman but I've used Raymond in other trade packages that are probably better.
