I don't like much of this, the defence isn't stronger. And I for one am not sold on Samsonov. If it takes a 1st in this draft to move Murray, I would rather just keep him and have him tandem with Woll. Certainly don't need Sheary either.

The Caps aren’t trading Wilson for a single Late-1st and the rest of that package has basically zero value. Other teams will offer more for Wilson, no reason for Wsh to trade with Toronto for sentimental reasons.

Canucks accept for sure. 5 mil for one of the better defensive dmen in the league is incredible value. We have lots of contracts we can move.

Canucks decline. Value isn't the problem, we just don't have cap space to be taking on salary. We're also looking for players 26 and under, while Brodie is on the wrong side of 30.

I mean sure but in theory we love this trade. I'd buyout OEL to make it if that were the only option. I also think Myers will be easy enough to move after his bonus is paid. As will selling one of our wingers.

Wilson won’t be moved and this wouldn’t be enough. He would be an awesome fit in that top 6 and prolly great for Knies
