Los Angeles declines. That framework doesn't work from a value or cap perspective, because hidden in Nylander's almost-$7-million cap hit is the creation of two open roster slots.

Murray will cost more to dump than a future fourth and an over-the-horizon third.

For years Toronto AGM have been telling us that guy 1 yr from UFA can be had for a 3rd liner and a 4th rounder. Now you can get 3 NHL players for a guy who will be a UFA.

Toronto in for a big shock with the cap only going up 1M how much dumping Iron man murray is going to cost
