Bruins pass, if it costs a 4th to move him, they'll just buy him out. If it costs a 7th to move him I think they do it.

Costs more than a 2nd to clear 10 mil in cap

Yeah, good luck getting anyone to take that hideous Peterson contract for less than a 2nd and a mid prospect.

Didn't realize his buyout cost was so little. Do you think B's would do it if the trade was Reilly and a 4th for a 5th or something? Just to get the Hawks to reach cap floor, and hopefully flip him at 50% retained at the deadline? Or the Hawks should look elsewhere.

Except it's not $10M in cap. It's $6.85M worst case scenario.

Let Boston buy him out. He's not worth chasing after. Hawks won't have any issues getting to the cap floor

Everyone knows the Nucks are over the cap , going to have to pay to move someone. Most Garland has scored in 1 season is 52 pts. That is not much for 5 mil per

Guess by your logic Elias Pettersson is a cap dump too eh? Just because a team is bad, doesn't mean every single player on the team is a cap dump. Garland for sure isn't. He is actually a good player.... Myers on the other hand is a cap dump. If the Canucks are going to pay to get rid of someone, it won't be a good 50 point winger in his prime. Poolman is LTIRetired basically so how is he even relevant to this thread?

They aren't though and it takes like 2 seconds to realize that. Poolman + Pearson to LTIR immediately frees up 5.75 million. 50 points for 5 mil is very fair, especially when you take into account is defensive play. He has always been an analytical darling and would literally be the Blackhawks' best player behind Connor Bedard. Once again another uneducated take. I'm starting to think you guys are just a bunch of trolls. Either that, or you don't bother to do your own research

Why is the Hawks goal to be at the cap floor? They're a huge market team

Myers is 1,000,000,000,000% a cap dump ..... He may be in the bottom 20 D in the entire league

I respect your right to have an opinion other than mine, it’s too bad you don’t reciprocate. Just because I have another perspective doesn’t mean I’m uneducated or a troll. Take it down a notch. It’s true that the Nucks can get some relief through LTIR, but they still got some work to do to improve, don’t have much room to work with & have some guys who are good hockey players but are getting paid more than what they should. So are going to be at a disadvantage in negotiations with other teams. Time & reality will tell which of us saw the situation more accurately.

Just because they have low value, doesn’t make them cap dumps. I am fully expecting one of Garland or Boeser to be traded, but they definitely won’t have to pay to do so
