There's no reason for the Sabres to trade him, especially on a silly notion that the Sabres would want or need to bring in Thompson's brother.

Thompson is a change of scenery candidate and I think he could fit fine on your fourth line. Plus, it could be another prospect if you wanted to keep Kozak. I like Nadeau, Lindgren, Komarov, Kozak.

I've seen Caps ACGMS offering Bratt for WSH 1st and Lapierre. Lapierre is not even a blue chipper (He is a B grade prospect, a much lower ceiling than Faber). I will stand by my earlier valuation. An Ovi - Strome - Bratt line puts the Caps back in the playoffs. Sharangovich is a good Top 9 add who was one season removed from 24 goals. You dump Mantha, add a top line winger, and a Top 9 winger. This is good business.

Fitzy sounded optimistic on Bratt resigning. I’m believing it gets done. But if not, the right comp is probably the LAK/Fiala trade. Mid-1st and good, near-ready prospect or young player. Protas and Lapierre would be my targets if it were the caps. But I doubt we would trade him inside the division.

Blackwood - a highly conditional pick is probably the right ask. Something that could range from nothing to a mid-pick.

Walsh probably gets more. I would lean towards giving him a chance before moving him.

Jets easy no. He isn't getting qualified so why pay to get him early when he isn't going to be healthy if we get him. I don't mind him on the jets but he literally is going to be free in weeks so take Blaisdell from the jets and be happy you got something
