Anaheim wouldn't want to trade Vatrano and Gibson for lesser players, and Pickering and the 14th overall don't make up for that discrepancy, especially when you add in the 2023 second.

Gibson for DeSmith, Pickering and the first is right on value, but I doubt that either Gibson or Verbeek would be interested.

I do not know why Washington is getting Pittsburgh's cap casualties in that deal

Man that’s like WOW Horrible for WSH. WSH wouldn’t trade anything of value for any of those PIT players, what a poor and terrible valuation.

If I change Kuznetsov for Oshie in the Pittsburgh-Washington deal, is it more fair ?

Oshie, Mantha and a 3rd round pick for Carter, Granlund and Petry. I'm on the target price with that one. I think... too bad if it's not yet close to having a deal.

The caps aren’t trading with the penguins, especially not with Oshie involved.

There is no target value dude, you could offer that package of three players to all 31 other teams, and every single one of them says no except MAYBE Chicago or Arizona, and you'd have to add picks and make the return "future considerations" just for them to say yes. That package sucks.
