Canucks pass. Garland would be moved to clear cap, not being in an older, more expensive winger with more term

Pens pass on all of these.
We shouldn't add Poulin and a 3rd for what is at best a sidegrade to Garland.
Rutta will not take a 2nd to dump, if he's even a cap dump at all.
ACGMs offer Ullmark for less pretty often. If we can get him for less, we can use the assets to upgrade elsewhere.

B’s would do it for the 23 1st alone. Pens won’t though.

You could flip rust for more. And I think you would take it and move someone else, JR loves Rust, like the way he praised him during press conferences you would think he had a man crush

Maybe I over paid on Ullmark, and Garland. But I really love the idea of Bringing in Barbeshev to give Malkin a Russian Left Winger, and reuniting Garland and Barbeshev would be sick. The main thing I love about these 2 ACGMs I made today is the lines

I'm not saying we should do that trade but Garland is clearly better than Granlund

Rutta has two years left. But Hawks might consider this. That's the same deal they made with Vancouver for Dickinson

He is. The winger being sent to Vancouver is Rust, who I think is better than Garland. Granlund has nothing to do with the trade.

I’d say we do it. Garland will probably return around a 3rd in a trade, we can easily flip Rust for the same or better than we would get for Garland while getting Poulin and an extra 3rd for free.
