We don’t want him. Not trading Carlo for him. And Carlo blocks with NTC anyway.

If the Bruins wouldn't include Carlo in a Horvat trade then they aren't including him in a Miller trade either.

too many pieces in the BOS trade... BOS likely wouldn't move Carlo anyways.

Myers likely doesn't take a 1st rd pick to move, also i suspect he blocks ARI with a NTC

Canucks pass on the Bruins trade. Not moving miller + picks for a dman with concussion history and another wing prospect.

I'd say a second probably. Maybe a third bestcase unless money is coming back. If the teams with cap are on his list it gets more expensive. And a first in 2025 right now isn't worth anything like a first for the current draft. I wouldn't do it from Van's perspective, but it's not completely insane. I think they could do something rather cheap (4th?) if they took Nemeth back. Saves AZ salary, saves Vancouver a ton of cap.

There's a nonzero chance AZ may not be on his list. It's only one year, he's not looking at multiple seasons there in the twilight zone. Low taxes, good weather, good coach, a chance for icetime to rehab his value like Ghost before hitting free agency next summer.

No interest from Boston. The only player that Boston would move Carlo for in Vancouver is Pettersson, and Boston doesn't have the other additions needed (which would be plentiful) to complete that deal. Obviously, there are other players like Hughes who are very good and better than Carlo, but only Pettersson fulfills a need.
