    In order to move up that far in draft, you’d probably have to be selling multiple 1sts since it’s such a deep draft. (Maybe sell Miller to PIT for #14, or Demko to DET for #17…). Also, with that much cap space, could offer some retention on Boeser, Myers and get picks in return.

    Then, package those picks for #3 overall.

    Except jackets aren’t looking for more picks. They already have the youngest roster in the NHL with a lot of top prospects coming up soon. Their only needs for the future is a top line center and maybe goaltending so trading away 3 isn’t happening unless a 1C under 25 that can be locked up for 5+ years (aka petey).
