Would prefer a deal around a similar player even if he’s a rental. Someone like Reinhart , Dubois etc

DeBrincat on a line with Hughes or Hischier would probably start flirting with 40 goals again.

Considering he spent more time playing with Pinto and Greig than Giroux or Stutzle this year I agree. Nothing is wrong with pinto , he just missed a full year before and started slowing down after game 20. And he’s more of a shooter than playmaker so there was no one to feed Cat the puck

Just keep Joseph, even up its a lateral move , he had an off year due to injuries. Coming back from a high ankle sprain is tough.
We gotta keep some picks to find diamonds in the rough.

Still doesn't solve the goaltending depth...they'd be very reliant on a guy whos coming off of double knee surgery...

Need a goalie. This tandem will struggle and drag us down.

As much as I hate to see Bratt go, this is a fair trade. The question is if he'll still be the best player in the NHL after this

No.

Cat barely played with Giroux , Stutzle or Norris this year. Bratt played with either Hughes or Hischier all year

Definitely a fair trade, only obstacle is DeBrincat's preferred destinations reportedly being Vegas, Nashville and Dallas.

He gave 10 teams doesn’t have to be those 3

But why? Makes little sense. Why not just keep both where they are?
