Why would the Rangers not just accept that? He still would be an RFA the year after and there is no way they don't just accept the Offer Sheet.

No way Nashville would also include Novak in that trade... let alone retain salary on Saros... and then add in Nashville needs a Center, and doesn't need Debrincat

Nashville trade too good to pass up because Novak is included but not interested in the other trades :

- Sens need to keep Forsberg

- Not interested in trading Brannstrom

- Not paying this price for Mangiapane


Also not interested in playing the Offer Sheet game

That's a nice haul for Mangiapane, the salary retention gives me pause though. The Flames probably don't want to retain that much, and a 3rd team retaining would essentially leave the Flames a 1st and cap space. It's still not bad, but I think Mangiapane will have a much better season next year, so I'd try to move Toffoli/Coleman or one of the D before I move him.
