All trades are fine besides the Colorado one, 2 firsts for Kuzzy is nuts, adding Girard on top of that? getting a bit to horny with that one

Colorado has been talking about dumping him for years now especially with Byram becoming a really good dman, 2 firsts might be a lot but if they want to keep contending and compher goes elsewhere they need a 2c and Kuzzy has proven to be a hell of a player on a good team.

Nah man thats to much, we've seen Meier, Fiala Horvat , Giroux, DeBrincat. Domi, Bertuzzi, Chychrun, P.Kane, Tarasenko, ROR, Ekholm, all get traded in the past year, none fetched 2 first round picks

sure but girard isn't like a bad player. this trade is like "buy PLD" kinda stuff. If the Avs do this we march in protest on ball arena

You got the the Oilers paying a 2nd and a 4th to save $250,000 you know. I can't see it making them better either

I would say Mantha is a large upgrade over Yamamoto, will likely produce more offensively and brings an element of size and physicality.

Not close to enough for Wilson especially 50% retained. Too much for Mantha and Kuzy

That leafs trade is not great for Washington. Muzzin is worthless. Murray is negative value, Minten is an ok prospect, late first. AND retention on Wilson

Minten is a really solid prospect late pick in a deep draft, im sure there could be another pick/ prospect added

I’m pretty sure the Avs refuted reports of moving Girard last year. The Avs never leak anything, those reports are just people guessing.

If you’re trading a 25 year old top 4 defenseman with term and two firsts, you’re getting someone much younger and better than Kuznetsov

I would not say Mantha is an upgrade in anything but physical size

LOL, no they haven't. Fans and media floating ideas isn't the same as the team trying to trade him. The team has never ever tried to trade him or expressed any interest in moving him. They like what he does at the price he does it so it would take an overpay to get him.

I say this with love and respect for JTC:

Caps fans will be frustrated by that deal within the first two years. Overpaying a late-20's guy coming off a career year in UFA is never a great idea. Most of us Avs fans were frustrated by what he was making on his previous deal and not living up to that most of the time; one outlier year at juuuuuust the right time is only going to make JTC richer and the Caps wondering why they spent that much on a 3rd-line talent. He's a legit NHLer that does a lot of things average but nothing spectacular.
