Berggren is most likely for the Wings as much as I hate to say it. Most NHL ready of the 3 and also most likely to be a 2nd line level player imo

Avs cannot afford Debrincat, they're not in this fight.

Soderblom and Mazur aren't on the table, Berggren probably only gets moved in a package deal for either Kyle Connor or Clayton Keller.

you aren't getting cat without moving a premium asset or two, and i hate to break it to you, that will have to be one of those three involved.
just because he "wants to play in detroit" doesnt drive his value to the ground lmao. detroit fans are delusional

You may be getting greedy. Why do teams trade for him when he has 9m QO? Gonna be interesting if he isn't traded or resigned by July 1st and DeBrincat makes 9m on his QO. How does Ottawa afford that. Ottawa really has very little leverage in trade talks. Few buyers.

We don't need him, There's going to be quite a few in this draft that will be better than Debrincat. only reason Debrincat put up 2 40 goal seasons was because he was the benefactor of Patrick Kane. No guarantees he duplicates that elsewhere.

Not greedy. Why should we want pieces that suck and won’t be here for more than 2 years

Well isn't that issue.? Why should teams give up a whole lot for a guys who is gonna get UFA money.....just sign a UFA. Sorry, Sens fans somehow think DeBrincat's trade value has some relations on the high price the Sens paid to acquire him. No, its;sJune 2023 now, and he is unsigned, and has big QO possibility.

He’s gonna go for Evangelista and Edmonton 1st which is what Minny got for Fiala (Faber and a 1st). And Minny had even less leverage because they had 0 cap space

You do Realize its gonna be a Sign and Trade Debrincat on an 8 year deal you cant get that in UFA the Sens Aren't gonna Trade him for nothing, its either Pay up or Dont have the opportunity to get him cause he wont hit the Market next Offseason

How many players like cat ever make it to free agency at age 26? Very rare and every team will be after them in free agency and they’ll end up even more overpaid.

If teams want them u have to trade for them

I do realize that the best opportunity for the Sens is sign and trade.....but that doesn't other teams will make the trade or DeBrincat even signs a contract for that team. Sens just don't too many options.
Why won't he hit the open market next season? DeBrincat is under no obligation to sign a long term contract with any team. He can just take his QO for 23/24, which I believe is 9m.

I can think of a few undersized 60 point wingers that make it to UFA actually.

ADB instantly become your #1/2 producer. You aren’t going to find that on the UFA market. Delusional to think you’re going to get that in a trade without giving up any decent prospects or draft picks

I think you are selling him short (pun intended). As an RFA, you’re unlikely to command what you paid for him….but should expect a Fiala-esque return. There wasn’t a name listed that should be out of reach. If you are thinking pick/prospect combination…I am guessing it would be in this sort of range:

DET: 17th + Wallinder or Berggren
PIT: 14th + Smith or Puustinen
NSH: 24th + Livingstone or Evangelista

Or it’s just one player coming back, a guy like Jarvis, Lafreniere, Peterka…should be gettable.
