I could see Columbus at least considering that if they're not loving Carlsson/Smith compared to Savoie, but fact remains they could've drafted Savoie last season and chose Jiricek instead. It's not a bad proposal, I just don't think they go for it.

Three excellent prospects in exchange for a pick in the top-five. Bedardists can keep their powder dry.

      Any takers?

It seems Jiricek is on a different level than Savoie, at least in some observers' eyes. Would you entertain two of those assets in the proposal for Jiricek? From a value perspective?

Jackets would need tage or cozens to consider moving 3OA

Nope jiricek is the best defensive prospect in the NHL and still will be after the draft. What it would take to acquire him you wouldn’t want to pay. Think of what it would’ve cost for you to want to trade Power a year ago and that’s the price

Clearly, that's not the offer. A simple f no will suffice.

From a pure value in a vacuum? Probably, yeah. Buffalo's pick is in the top 15 which is still good value plus Savoie is a hell of a prospect. But in practice, no. Jiricek is the caliber of asset teams simply just don't move, projecting at age 18 as a 1D and more importantly, playing on the right. Columbus got incredibly lucky to get him at sixth thanks to his pre-draft injury. I know Buffalo doesn't critically need a premium asset at the position Savoie plays, so if they decide to move him I hope KA is able to parley him into an asset that makes the Sabres better. You guys deserve success.

Good grief.....it's bad enough with Penguin fans constantly dumping Petry on the Sabres in proposals but now someone doing so from Buffalo POV? Where is the sanity?

Anaheim is quite happy to select Adam Fantilli at #2. There are some distant possibilities for trading down to #3 or #4, but we wouldn't be going further than that. Among other things, if the Universe places you at #2, it would be impious to go somewhere else.

Sure. Petry is what we're focusing on here.

      Yikes.
