I dont get the canes connection either, probably assume because they play solid 2way game they could use a scorer without realizing they can't afford a roster slot for a non 2way guy and pay him 4+. I think of him more as an edmonton or pitt guy. Put him with a guy who does everything so he can be a cheap one timer option. The problem is hes not cheap enough so we'd have to retain.

Yeah I just don't see him as the type of player that would fit into Rod's system. It's why it seemed so unusual to see his name pop up continuously. There's been no rumor and I can understand why. Off-season can't move fast enough for me.
