Easy no/match for everybody and you're gonna have to pay to dump Myers. Have a good one!

QO is around $2.5M, crazy to qualify him at that rate

Massive overpay for Laf, Columbus only paid a 3rd for a sign and trade with a full 8 years on Severson who was going to be a top UFA this year. Giving Beau @50% and 2 picks is gross asset mismanagement. Beau strait across for Laf should be all it takes or at most a 3rd based on the Severson trade.

I wouldnt touch Byram as our LHD option 3 concussions already and has not completed a season yet, has Ferland written all over it.

Not really an organisation that can bost to develop much better and is in worse cap situation than NYR... this is all kind of hilarious 😂

Rangers decline. take out the two 3rd and throw in a 1st and you have a deal.

They have no reason to trade Laf so you're gonna have to give them one by overpaying, they're not gonna let their former 1OA pick go for scraps.

Cup contender and Vancouver are two things that are not likely going to be paired together.

Vancouver and Detroit are always going to be for some reason stuck in a limbo of not being bad, but never being good enough for playoffs

The history of what? Vancouver has zero cups. Sure they’ve had legends on their team, but they’re 0-3 in SCF and the last 10 years have only made playoffs twice.

Massive difference, Severson was gonna be a UFA so NJD would lose him for nothing, Laf is an RFA

And detroit? Thats still twice and they're far from the only team without a cup. I wouldnt say they'er juggernauts by any means but to say they are "never going to be good enough for the play offs" is a little far.
To include a team with the history of detroit in that, a team whose current gm built one of the most successful franchises in recent history is pretty ridiculous.

Also Laf was a previous 1OA. To give up on him for a 3rd because he didnt have a great season and therefore will not demand much on his next deal is simply crazy.

Barely over 30 points per 82 games for his 1st two season and a slight bump in his contract year to 39 points, all 3 seasons where not great and thats on a fairly strong team(made playoffs 2 out of 3 years). So with the possibility that this year was a bit of an outlier and he plays wing (a position of strength across the league) he's not going to get a great return even as a former 1OA. Sure with his cost control I would bump it up to a 2nd but thats it. It would be crazy to give up more than that for a player who "could" be a top 6 but currently is more of a 3rd line winger.

I wouldnt even call it a bump, i'd say just over 30 points on 3 seasons is 1. Not bad for a 21 year old kid 2. No reason to trade him as an rfa going into his next contract (2.5). He probably be a cheap bridge 3. Gms don't give up on thier 1st and only 1st overall picks that often 4. If you want a young under performing cost controlled guy you pay for potential not production.
Just because he's not ripping it up doesnt mean your gonna get him cheap. He has atleast 3 more years of sucking before he's getting traded for less than 1OA.
Why do you think the rangers need to get rid of him so bad he'll get like 2.5 mil for 2 years.
