I mean. You can ask for more it just won’t happen. Risto buyout is higher than the OEL in 2 years. So you take two extra mill for two years to get it back over the buyout years. And the Tyler Myers 6 mill moves at midseason so I’ll take another top 10 and be gone with Risto in a second. Doesn’t matter much anyway… highly unlikely OEL would waive anyway.

He only has 4 years left and they won’t be competitive for any of them likely. OEL costs more and seems to be hated by every team he goes to. Taking on $13.25M this year alone is worth the 1st round pick lol. The Flyers got a 2nd and a real good RHD prospect for $8M. Why wouldn’t they get even more for taking $13.25M

I mean for the first time in his career Risto was actually decent last year. If you don’t like him fine but he’s a solid third pairing guy if he keeps up the pace he was at last year. He’s getting paid way too much but that is Chuck’s fault not his.
