Description
Just wondering if the valuation is at all close? Zadina doesn't have q lot of value, but Berggren can become a 2nd line winger and 9 + 17 will allow Anaheim to build up their prospect pool a bit more

It's not close. They just take Fantili.

Fantili looks like the total package. Size, speed, skill, two way game.

I figure the only way to get Verbeek to bite is to dangle Seider as one of the pieces.

Detroit almost assuredly doesn't do that, but I don't think you get Verbeek to seriously consider an offer any other way.

Appreciate the feedback. Wasn't sure where Ducks fans thought they were in their build. Outside looking in, I thought multiple pieces would be helpful, but I get not wanting to lose the opportunity for a high end C.

I don’t think this offer for Fantilli is even enough for Verbeek to clock into work and hop on the phone

The thing is the Ducks are far enough away to not be good in the near future probably. But they're not at the place where you take quantity over quality.

For Verbeek to trade out of 2 he would need to get exactly what he wants, whatever that is (presumably a specific player and amount of picks). Other than that, you take the guy who would be 1oa in most other drafts.

Zadina is an interesting piece, the upside is clearly there, we'd consider a swap for Lundestrom, when he was playing 2C for us he was putting up good points, organizational depth and his complete 2 way game pushed him down to 3C, but he is more than capable of taking the second line pivot spot.

However, when it comes to Fantilli (or Carlsson) we're talking about an elite to franchise level piece, the price of acquisition would cut deep. We are in desperate need of a top 4 RHD to pair with Fowler now and Mintyukov later. We also need another top 6RW, but we'd have to be convinced that they would (not could) push Terry out of 1RW. We would need them to be young players with lots of team control and some budget contract time left.

I don't know the wings depth at wing, but I know Seider is a beast. That would be exactly the kind of piece we need to consider the move, as we have plenty of middle 6 and middle pairing pieces already in the system.

The Ducks have a lot of potential middle-six forwards in the pipeline. Lots of these ACGM trades for 2nd OA don't include players with definitive 1st line potential, which is where I think any trade talks begin.

TBH, the one piece on the Wings I like is Edvinsson, I think he'd be an amazing partner for Drysdale. But the Ducks have a logjam at LHD.

I think if you want the Ducks and Verbeek to bite, one of Edvisson Seider or Raymond would need to be involved. Seider would be the main target for Anaheim.
