Forget about it, Xhekaj is off the table espically for moving up 9 spot.

Not even talking about market value but inside the organization he holds a role no one can replace and therefore is much more valuable than anything we can get for him trade wise.

The way this draft is projected, the différence between players we can get at 31 vs 22 is not worth it by a large margin.

You can't just trade the first NHLer with an X for the first letter of his last name.

For clarity I wrote this while very tired for the sole purpose of a joke. Though from what my Habs jersey tells me Xhekaj isn't on the market.

Wow Fabbro's value fell that hard?
This time last year Preds fans were telling me he was worth a 1st ++ on his own.

Disagree. Fabbro was playing arguably the best hockey of his career at the end of last season. Moving up four spots (from 15 to 11) in a draft this deep isn’t worth next seasons potential #1 RD in my opinion.

I’d value Fabbro’s value at right around a 2nd round pick and another asset. Also, it doesn’t help that I have fallen in love with ASP’s game in this draft, and think hee could be our future 1RD. If he’s there at 11, then I feel as if it’s a fair move to make.

Also, Fabbro had 4 own goals this year, compared to the 2 he had on an opposing team’s net. His defensive game is the best it’s ever been, but his offense took a step back after not being paired with Josi

I would argue that the Preds should be targeting a future #1 RD. His defensive game is great, and I loved what he was able to do this season. However, that doesn’t stop me from thinking Carrier or Barrie are guys that could totally fill the 1RD role. I’d also prefer that Livingstone get a good amount of time in the lineup, and he wouldn’t be able to get that time with Fabbro still here. It doesn’t help that I think ASP would be a great option for the Preds in this draft, and he wouldn’t be there at 15. His offense is great, but he really is pretty solid all around - seems like the guy I’d want to target, and wouldn’t mind doing it at the price of Fabbro

That's fair. I think it definitely depends on who is there at 11 and if Nashville feels strongly about one of those remaining players. It's so hard to gauge the price for moving up because every draft is different.
