STL has no motivation to move Thomas, and CBJ shouldn't be moving that much to try and get him. Bad asset management.

Blues say no. WE have reason to move Thomas except for a drastic overpayment. BLues have little interest in Laine as we have a lot of wingers.

the price makes sense from the cbj perspective imo. they're adding a center in the draft. ensuring a long-term center core of thomas + the 2023 pick + sillinger/jenner is worth giving up assets at positions of depth.
