Take out Soderblom and it's a done deal.

That's a lot to give up for a Goalie who's seeking 8 x $9,500,000 on his next deal in Connor Hellebuyck.

Wasnt sure if Soderblom was an important piece for the Wings cause I dont always see him in lineups on here.

He got called up early and sent back down for development. No need to rush the behemoth, he is a part of the long term goal.

Depending on this summer, Soda-Kasper-Mazur could be Grand Rapids number 1 line.

Blues front office and coaching staff seems to have taken a pretty big liking to Toropchenko last season and rightfully so. He was a sparkplug for us in a miserable season. Value may be fine, just don't see him being moved this season.

He was sent back down after our guys got healthy, And then he suffered a separated shoulder in GR. I'd imagine he should make the team out of camp this season.

Yeah; he ended up getting depthed out just because people from IR were returning and he's slide-eligible. He had a meh year in GRG (most of it is at fault of Ben Simons being a horrendous coach), but he looked very good when he was on the Wings. He's going to be a real threat on the PP.

That's a pretty uninteresting offer for Hellebuyck. Winnipeg will pass.

Trading Soderblom as apart of a side piece in a player that isn't worth that much more than a 2nd?
I'm pretty sure about that.

Yea I thought he looked good in the Wings games I caught last year. I think you guys have a good player there in him.

I understand that. I love our giant as much as the next guy but a solid young D core is preferred. What would the Kings have to add to make you feel better

Couldn't agree more.
If he hits his ceiling then woooooof.
Realistically a very good 3rd liner who'll be absolutely phenomenal for the powerplay.

At what point is "young" no longer young? Durzi will be 25 at the start of the season and can be acquired without sacrificing someone who can realistically be a powerplay phenom.
You just don't trade away guys like Soderblom unless the trade slaps you silly.

I really hope that's the top line down there. Meaning I hope Kasper spends some time down there and they develop some good chemistry together. I would also like to see Grand Rapids put together a winning team.

Soda-Kasper-Mazur
Hanas-Lombardi-Doucet

Wallinder-Johansson
Sebrango-Barton (I think Tuo has one more year in Europe)

Cossa
Lethemon?

Might need a bit of experience on one of those two top lines.
I'm hoping Johansson gets a showing in the NHL, at least until Edvinsson is ready. Maybe he partners with Maatta and Edvinsson Chiarot and Yzerman makes no moves for RHD?
I signed Daccord in my AGM to play with Cossa. I actually wanted to sign Jonas Johansson but he doesn't appear in the UFAs but it says he's a free agent? He would be good too. Both of those guys could play in the NHL but likely claimed on waivers.

I'd be okay with AJ getting a shot, but I just keep wondering what happens with McIsaac. If he isn't re-signed, no harm done. Personally feel like it would be a waste to not at least give him a shot and if he is lost on waivers it is what it is. If not, he can help show the kids how to be a good pro.

Hirose is probably slated in at top LW. Les probably 2nd line RW. Doucet and Lombardi rotate in the 2-3C spots. I could also see SY trade for some AHL talent to help mentor.

I agree about McIsaac. I wouldn't mind him as 7th D all year. See if he can cut it.

Durzi is worth about a 2nd and there is a reason Soderblom is referred to as a unicorn. RHDs are in high demand but there are even less unicorns than there are RHDs.
