Welpss use the cap space

Description
Weaponizing the space. I wonder if this actually works. It would allow Pitt to grab another scorer to play with Crosby. It gives Vancouver 6 mil in cap space but at the same time not sure thats enough to give up your first.

Obviously it gives Detroit 4 picks in the fist 17 of a very deep draft. Ultimately I don't see it happening but fun.

Really want Durzi. I think he's worth the 1rst round pick.

Pittsburgh happily accepts and runs the paperwork to nhl headquarters before you can snap out of it.

Helps them both. Wings end up with Moore, Wood and Honzek. All day for a rebuilding team

I think it goes both ways.
We lose Chiarot, get 14OA, and we hit the cap floor.

No, they really don't.
Petry is a better version of Chiarot
Granlund buyout is super cheap
Carter isn't paid that much

Trading down from 14 to 43 is the equivalent of giving up 21 overall.

Edit: too aggressive (all caps)

No chance.

You should probably check current events before putting in all this effort. Canucks have cleared some CAP and are no longer desperate to move Myers. Theres definitely no 1st round pick coming for a guy with only 1 year left on his contract. You could probably get him at the trade deadline for a 2nd however......

You can definitely get Durzi for less than a 1st round pick. One of the 2nds would work.

If Granlund and Petry only had 1 year left on their deals, I think Steve would consider this. But since they have 2, based on what he said today, he won't.

That would ruin the masterplan. If you notice I really don't have him playing. For the record I don't think any team in the top 15 should be trading their pick unless they are blown away

Cost for Durzi is a 2nd and a good prospect. Kings will happily take a 1st instead if that's the way you want to go.

Canucks easily decline. There's zero chance we use pick 11 to dump Myers, the cap situation is fine after the OEL buyout.
