What would you do if you were jets gm? I’m kind hoping for a miraculous det 9 or buf 13 from this years draft. Kind of need a gm on a hot seat and doesn’t feel like they will be employed by the time the helly extension is completed. Ideally for any team 3 to 5x compared to the 7/8x and 8.5 to 10 per. Going to be a interesting summer

Fans of other teams should take note: Vanecek is a perfect goalie for the Jets. Serviceable, not expiring this year, and not a cap dump. This contract provides legitimate value for the Jets, which would mean that you could probably offer less than this. Probably only need one of Sharangovich and Holtz.

Be realistic, people. Hellebuyck will play this year in Winnipeg. Then walk as UFA next summer.

Why else would he be asking for Vasilevskiy ($9.5m x 8 year) extension….and saying he won’t sign in WPG? He wants straight path to UFA.

I’m a little worried about a sign and trade and some nasty term or money coming back, tkachuk Esque trade, not sure what goalie I would be overly excited about, couple in the early second round this year could be good also, but would need a few seasons for sure
