MTL
  1. Morrow, Scott [Reserve List]
  2. 2023 5th round pick (VAN)
2.
MTL
  1. 2024 7th round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Reports are there are teams looking for scoring and the return would be "for free."
3.
CHI
  1. Dvorak, Christian
Additional Details:
Chicago will need some roster players to reach the floor. My guess would be they will give Max Domi some security and they can be reunited from London days.
4.
MTL
  1. Chesley, Ryan [Reserve List]
  2. Mantha, Anthony
Additional Details:
Kent Hughes gets an 2nd Round Pick equivalent for taking on Anthony Mantha as a reclamation project in his hometown

    5.
    MTL
    1. Newhook, Alex [RFA Rights]
    COL
    1. Pitlick, Rem
    2. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
    3. 2023 4th round pick (PIT)
    Additional Details:
Avs fans will probably think this is not enough and would welcome alternative trade ideas. I genuinely think COL should target O'Reilly and it gives them the flexibility to do so. Also think they should target Kerfoot/Kampf for 3C if Eller walks.

Canes trade is far from realistic. Not moving our top RD prospect for Eddy and his back problems. Even without those problems wouldn’t entertain it - he was an average third pair guy for us at best so don’t think there’s any interest in a reunion.

We'll just give you a second if that's what you want, you're not getting our best D prospect to dump Mantha lmao

I think I agree with you, especially as I don't think Mantha is done. If I could just find a home for Hoffman, I'd take Mantha in a heartbeat, assuming the Caps would take a vending machine and a few pop tarts as compensation.

I don't think the COL trade is unfair necessarily, but the Avs can actually squeeze in ROR now if needed while keeping Newhook. I hope COL lets Eller walk

I get your argument and actually agree. I do think however, defenseman like Edmundson are highly coveted (back problems aside.) So whether it is Carolina or another team like Edmonton or Florida the return might be a little better than what the other team is willing to give up. Similar to how I think Scott Mayfield/Carson Soucy will be the two biggest "mistake" contracts handed out this summer.

Yeah there’s def a market but I don’t think CAR makes sense for various reasons.

I don't disagree. I was trying to think of this year's "Dach trade" for someone who may need a new scenery. Gives Colorado just a little more breathing room to make some more moves for a deep run.

None of this is realistic. Bad trades for all teams except Habs.

COL trade isn't bad but don't see them trading Newhook

Hawks decline. Dvorak isn't worth his contract or giving up an improving prospect.

Here's what I don't get: why does anyone think a guy who has two years of NHL service and is only 22 years old is in need of a "change of scenery," especially from a team that won a Cup very recently?

Can we get a Youppi stuffed toy instead? Always loved that guy
