LA isn’t trading away both Vilardi and Byfield. At most you get one of them, but even getting one of them isn’t very likely.

I dont think Vanecek is a cap dump and it's probably one of Casey or Holtz, not both. LAK is tough to work out for PLD, but if it happened, you're not getting both of Byfield and Villardi. There's nothing in it for SJS in that trade other than the 1st, which is likely easily beat.

Even better, that is already SJ's first in a way. We have a conditional 2nd round pick from NJD that turns into that first if they make the conference finals next year.

Aside from that Schmidt won't waive for us and Pionk is good but the Sharks would have to have high confidence he would resign with us in two years and even then his age puts him on the high end of our timeline. Not a lot of value there.

Heinola is a LOT better than WPG Management treats him like. He's a top 4, comparable to many other top D in the league that run PP's, very smart, great vision, amazing passer, etc...
