Description
Was going to post without Peeke and Garland, but changed my mind.

Here we go…

I realize moving into the top 3 isn’t an easy feat, and I doubt it happens. What would it cost Vancouver? I’ve seen people saying Vancouver would need to send someone like Miller/Hronek/Kuzmenko, but Columbus wouldn’t want Millers contract, and already have a pretty good looking back end, ruling out Hronek. I can’t see Allvin moving Kuzmenko, so this is what I came up with.

I feel like the value is there, but I’m not an expert. Columbus gets the value of two 1sts (11OA and Lekkerimaki), and three 3rds (TOR 3rd, Podkolzin, Garland)
Some may even have Garland and Podkolzin as 2nds. I feel like that’s more than enough.

Also…. Just how good/bad is Peeke? Would he be able to slide onto Hughes’ right side, or is he a bottom pairing guy? I have no clue.

Am I close? Way off? You be the judge. Cheers!

God no. There is nothing there that makes the CBJ even think about it.

Columbus is looking for a franchise centerman with that pick, and you aren't offering them any center at all in that package. I think that they'd have a pretty easy No.

Yeah, Columbus says no. It's a good effort, but we need a couple star pieces, not a bunch of darts that have a ceiling of top-6 (we've got plenty of that already). Fact of the matter is Columbus has to draft or use 3OA to get a legit 1C under 25 with term, so unless it's a package involving Petey, Columbus just isn't interested.

"Also…. Just how good/bad is Peeke? Would he be able to slide onto Hughes’ right side, or is he a bottom pairing guy?" I'll qualify that I'm not a Peeke fan, but he can slide up and down the lineup. If he's forced to play top pair, he's going to look bad. He's best suited for 3RD, maybe 2RD in a pinch. He's going to be physical, but IMO that's about it. There's a lot of misplaced physicality in his game (checks that don't make sense, penalties he doesn't need to take), and he's frequently out of position. He's another big crease-clearing D-man who's going to look bad in any other role.
