nah, i'm not giving up that much for Hall. He had a down year and you'd be getting back more than you gave up for him.

Interesting idea about the Carlos-Mittelstadt trade. Think Buffalo would want slightly more for Mittelstadt though. He’s a 60 point guy after all and a valuable depth player that can fit into the lineup anywhere

intriguing... props for an original idea that is honestly pretty solid. People will no doubt find reason to complain, but they'll probably have a harder time here than most builds.

i would probably entertain a carlo mittelstadt swap but i cant help but laugh at the tittle suggesting Mittelstadt, the quintessential Minnesota dude, belongs in Boston. Makes me wanna watch Miracle again lol.

A 2nd for Hall is enough. $6mill off the books for Boston is more valuable than the return.

would start at a third personally. 2nd is the highest i go. The original deal for hall was basically an avg AHL player and a 2nd for Curtis Lazar and Taylor Hall 50% retained. Anything over a 2nd would be over payment back to Boston.

They get their second back and clear $6M in space to sign Bertuzzi.

I feel like the sabres would want someone to also replace Mittlestadt’s 60 (59) points on the 3rd line, as well

Do you want the Sabres to have another season of goaltenders facing 40+ shots against every game, and defensemen not clearing the puck out of the zone?

What a third pairing LHD when Buffalo has Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson and Johnson and you want Buffalo to add a pick!

So playing 15 min/gm will have a significant impact on the shots against.
Joseph plays fewer minutes than Rutta, how is he worth very much?

Cannot see Buffalo have any interest in Joseph.
Savoie could be the replacement for Casey, or;
Maybe Krebs is given a chance to shine and is moved up to the third line with Jost centering the fourth.
