I don't see our gm moving 13oa. I can see ostlund/Rosen and our 2nd this year, maybe even a top 10 protected first next year.

Two non playoff teams aren't trading their first for rentals. Like Toffelli, but Leafs really don't need a RWer, besides they could find a good player for 4.25m. Niemela is one of few true NHL prospects. Niemeial and first too much for a rental. Markstrom? Better goalies as UFA who are cheaper.

Toffoli is a right shot but more than capable of playing both sides. He's definitely a guy who a team would ideally want on their 1st PP unit scoring 1 timers from your top passers, so he probably makes way more sense for a team like the Rangers than he does Toronto. He's also making 2.25M in this proposal

Agreed with above - Markstrom doesn’t move the needle for NJ, even with that retention. He’s not the guy to move Holtz for.
