That's a severe overpay for two upcoming UFA from Calgary 21 man roster, and six NHL Dmen? Without Brodie and Liljgren the defence is weaker and trading the Leafs only Dman prospect Niemela...for what ?

I’d want more to take on Murray, especially since it means we have to buy someone out. I’m not a huge fan of SDA, personally.

Indeed, we don't need a goalie (like we did last year when got Mrazek). Virtually the Hawks' entire interest in taking on Murray is in gaining BOS 1st round pick in the deal.
