Chicago needs a goalie

Created by: Gravy31
Team: 2023-24 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 28, 2023
Published: Jun. 28, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Campbell is their stop gap, he had one bad year and proved in Toronto that he can play. Ceci played injured last year and will be better. Not sure if you get a second but the picks don't mean a ton. Pesce probably costs a little more but thats fine. Do 2 firsts if you have to.

No Chicago does not actually. They have two with more in the wings. Also you aren't getting rid of Campbell and getting a return.

Hawks have their goalies already and it'd cost multiple firsts to dump that terrible contract. They lose edmontons phone number after this offer.

The return for Pesce would require Bouchard to go the other way... the Hurricanes aren't going to make downgrades

LMAO gtfo with this garbage. We will take a first, and multiple other picks or prospect if you wanna dump Soup on us. If you also wanna include Ceci you give up more picks. Saying "Chicago needs a goalie" as if we couldn't sign one for a fraction of Campbells cost who is probably better and keep our picks.

He proved that he can be a legitimate starter for 2 months before falling off a cliff for the rest of a year. Nobody is paying to take Campbell on, and it will almost certainly start with a 1st to move him.

As for the Pesce trade, Canes pass. It is sounding like an extension is close, and I highly doubt that package would be enough for the Canes to throw it all to the wayside.

I'm not saying he is a stud by any stretch but 2 months??? Hes got a career .910 in the NHL with a bad year in Edmonton.. Hes a decent starter that will get you some wins during a rebuild.

As for Pesce, this is obviously if he won't extend in Carolina. The canes would still have Slavin, Burns, Skjei, Deangelo (once July 9th hits).. So a young up and coming D, a 1st, and a high second is decent. Make it 2 firsts if that makes it happen. I don't see how its throwing it all to the way side.

That Hawks trade is one of the most lopsided ones I've seen on this site

Broberg won’t have much of an impact at 3LD, and the Canes could sign or trade for a 3LD that would actually help them. And just because the Canes are making the move for TDA, and even sniffing around EK, doesn’t mean they are planning to move Pesce. Assuming Nikishin comes over next offseason, Broberg would remain 3LD or just be a healthy scratch, so him being in the trade really has no impact on the value. A late first and a relatively early 2nd in what is shaping up to be a pretty weak draft doesn’t give the Canes much incentive at all to move Pesce.
